Omg me too! I've been biting my nails for as long as I can remember and the only solution I've found is fake nails! Acrylics or gels keep me from biting my nails lol. Like...I don't wanna bite my nails and ruin the manicure I just spent $40 on lol. The horrible tasting stuff just wore off quick for me. Almost nothing helps! As soon as my gels are off I'm biting my nails and even with the false ones on I'm always picking at the gel and my cuticle 😭

I'm not a constant nail biter but when I do I just think to myself: It's just as bad as licking a toilet seat with all the germs. I immediately get turned off biting my nails. Maybe you girls will too :P?

I have broken this habit twice! Try buying a nail growth nail polish, you should be able to find it at any drugstore and put it on twice a day, I'd usually put it on when I woke up then put a colour I like over it and put another layer of the growth stuff on before bed over the nail polish. Within a week I'd noticed a huge difference in the growth, you just have to try not to bite them the first week! Try changing your nail colours up everyday, it made me less inclined to bite them :) hope that helps haha.

I am an ex-extreme nail biter. I just stopped biting my nails one month ago. So I think you should try some of the things I did cause it worked pretty well for me. I think that saying you need to believe you can stop is a bit difficult cause I far as I know nail biting is reallly addictive just like you are taking drugs (lol)
- First point: buy a good nail polish which makes your nails grow fast. I used one with 8h growth and it worked really well. Results are seen in the 1st week itself!
-2nd point: I always thought if I had long nails I would stop biting them but it is only partly true cause if the nail is 'soft' I just bit it off! so I think a hardener is a MUST! cause I have observed that every time I put my nails in my mouth,it becomes soft.
-3rd point: If you can, apply nail polish on your nails EVERY DAY. a plus is that you could do a nail art so if your nail look pretty you will have the tendency not to bite them. And if you have different designs everyday, you will see your nails pretty and not bite them.
-4th point: Have faith you can do it! Believe in your capacity to resist!
These were, are and will always will be my GOLDEN rules! Hope these help cause for me, it worked amazingly for me! Tell me if it worked! love you

Just think of all the germs you're putting in your mouth. Everyday you touch hundreds of things (door handles, flush toilets, type on keyboards at work or school, touch others) and pick up thousands of germs. I used to bite my nails too and once my mom told me this I stopped.
