Two days ago, I banged my ankle really bad and it even hurts when I walk or when my pants touch the bruise. How can I prevent the bruise from being very noticeable like most bruises that are green, blue, purple or basically just noticeable?! And how can I get rid of bruises after getting them( not sure if that's possible but one of you might know)!
Thanks so much! XOXOXO

If you put witch hazel on,it will bring the bruising out so if you want it to go quicker put that on? Otherwise I'd say ice?but I'm not sure if that would bring the bruising out more too instead of preventing it?

Well first of all it might be sprained. But to get rid of a bruise, boil some water and put a spoon in it. Wait for about ten minutes and take the spoon out of the water, and then press the spoon to your bruise. It should take away any swelling or discolouration

Thanks so much Stephanie! I don't think it's sprained because my whole ankle doesn't hurt it's just one part.

But would that hurt Stephanie because of how hot it is?

That's normal. The bruise is the damage going out. It's going to fade out with the days. Put Aspercream and bandage. It's going to give you support at walking.

I would suggest against hot water, because heat will draw blood towards the area. Ice it as much as possible, which will bring down the swelling and reduce bruising.

And an ace bandage for support

If it's not too bad and only thing you matter is the bruise. Put water to boil. Pour it on a heat safe container and put a bunch of sea salt. Wet a towel in the water when the water is warm enough you can stand it, and squeeze it. Put it around your feet over the damage part and let it for some minutes and repeat this like 4 times while the water is warm.
this will help with the swelling if any

Probably not, maybe let the spoon cool for a little while and test it before hand so it doesn't burn your skin

Kiyomi I wanna know. It's a sprain? Or it's just a bang? If it's a sprain warm water with salt every night and aspercream with a foot bandage will be the best. Trust me, I've twisted/sprained my both foots 4 times in the past. 3 times the right, 1 the left. And it's going to take days to recuperate. And take ibuprofen for pain. But if it's just a bang and some swelling and bruise the ice would be the best choice for that.

It's just a bang. Oven ever had any bone or sprain injury in mg life which is weird because I am very athletic.
Thanks so much Lia! Now you know what to do if I get a sprain.! I'll definitely ice it ;)
