So my sister in laws friend is over and he has long curly hair. Thing is, he NEVER brushes it. We're trying to brush it for him but his hair is literally solid knotted!! Not the normal knots, how can we untangle it?

Deep conditioner.. Lots of it. And make sure your brushing the at the bottom of the hair first then work your way up

We've tried that, we're brushing from the bottom up and put tons of conditioner in already. It's tangled to the point where we can't part it.

Don't use the rat tail combs to take out the knots it won't help. A paddle brush will help or a flat comb. His hair must be soaked in really warm water and even though the knots won't come out as quick as you hoped it'll come out eventually if you keep brushing from the bottom up.

Brush from the ends to the roots with loads of conditioner.

We're using a paddle brush, switching off with a pic, and putting conditioner in as we go.

Try soaking his hair in warm oil such as olive oil.
