I am really pale and even if I get.something paper white it still looks to dark. Does this bug people a lot? It bugs me but I can't really do anything because I can't go lighter. Does this bother people?

Does it count if it bothers me when it happens to other people? I don't wear foundation, but I think that bad foundation application can mess up the prettiest girl's face. If you're looking for a new one, maybe check out Kat Von D, Illamasqua, Estée Lauder Doublewear. Those have a reputation for having very light shades :)

If it's really noticeable it really bothers me. Especially on other people. If mine is too dark I try to lighten it with a powder lighter than my skin tone. If it's only like a half a shade difference it's okay, but if it's significantly different you'll just look weird.

You can always get color checked by a professional like someone who works at MAC or Sephora :)

It normally depends on your undertone of the foundation and your skin if it doesn't match. You could go the lightest shade in a foundation and still be the wrong colour or to dark because the foundation is to pink/red undetoned or yellow undertones for your skin. It really sucks, I have the same problem

I would try the Dainty Doll foundation range! My friend is Welsh and has really, really pale skin and she uses that range, which is the only range thats ever worked for her! It's not expensive either!

I have been color matched.but everyone who has done it must have been blind because the color was way off. The only thing to match me the best has been Makeup forever HD foundation (but it's a tad to pink) and bare minerals foundation (just got it yesterday so not sure how I feel about it yet)

Yeah usually higher end makeup's have lighter shades than drugstores do. I have very fair skin as well and always have the same problem. But Kat Von D, Smashbox, Lancome, Nars have really fair shades. Sephora also has a new color matching system where they scan your face to find your perfect shade, so you might try that. I hatteeeee when makeup is too dark on anyone, it looks horrible. My friend has this problem but she refuses to switch, it gets even worse when she gets it in her hair...

This really does bother me and I thought that for the longest time with this one foundation I used before and then I just realized I was paranoid and it looked fine.
