I'm a dork, so I'd get a butterfly to represent the stroke in a not so literal way :) but I also think that tattoos are a huge commitment (I would know, I have one), and it's important to make sure it is a tattoo that YOU want, as it will be on YOUR body.

You can have the wave turning into something your really like of you get it really detailed. Like a wave into a butterfly for an example since I saw people talking about butterfly's. Your like how that have that feather turning into birds. You could do something like that with a wave if you wanted to, have it turn into birds, butterfly's or fish maybe.
Also I would get it somewhere where it isn't too noticeable. A lot of work places don't like to see the tattoos.

Why not go to a tattoo shop and pitch some ideas to an artist and let them draw one up for you? that way it would be unique and only you would have it.
