Mac palettes only fit those sizes- z palettes can fit any size

Carolyn is correct if you get a z palette your shadows might not fit and you would have thrown your money away.

No I've tried. Makeup geek ones fit. It's you see side by side of the shadow pans, they're the same size too.

The duos are $8 as well. And you don't need to put in the insert. I agree that z palettes can fit more on a single platform but I just can't convince myself to pay that much on those when I already have mac palettes. I just like how sleek they look and the fact that you can still get 2 mac palettes for less that a z palette, plus they are sturdy and the slips/inserts are $2. That's just my preference though :)
