Not really when you in the shower just message it. Make sure you take care of your hair and if you notice split ends get them taken care of right away the longer you wait the more there will be, also make sure you get all your split ends off. And another thing protect your hair, like if you use heat use a protectant spray and try to stay away from combing your ends, and the last thing when brushing your hair be gental.

About the split end thing is if you don't get all of it off it will just keep splitting and never grow.

"Caballo shampoo & conditioner".. Works great and I use it. It's cheap , makes your hair longer and thicker.. I can get it @ walmart, rite aid and cvs. Not really target.. And keep drinking A LOT OF WATER.

Coconut oil makes hair grow faster so I would try that and btw hair is so pretty!

Use a deep conditioner after you shampoo to help with moisture (I.e. Prevent split ends)
Comb your hair starting at the ends and work your way up to the roots. (Prevents breakage)
Use a satin/ silk scarf or pillow case. Cotton snags on the hair and damages the strands.
Also for tips check out the Long Hair Care forum. It's a bunch of women who have a literally grown their hair to the ground. You'll pick up awesome tips.
