To start my beginning make up I bought products that were cheap but worked for me. I spend most of my money on foundation lipstick n eyeliner cause I needed specific brands n or my makeup wouldnt stay. I spend less on brushes eyeshadows n mascaras.

Foundation, cover up, and concealer are must haves for me, but it depends on what kind of skin you have. Tinted moisturizer will look natural and help even out skin tone if you want something really light. My other staple items are eyeshadow (maybe go for neutrals or greys) eyeliner (probably a dark brown at first before you use blackbird explore other colors) and mascara. If you like working on it, you can experiment with blush and bronzer, layering your eyeshadows, and lipsticks. Everyday looks I think look best with tinted lip balm. Videos on. YouTube, pic on Beautylish and Pinterest can give you tutorials and inspiration. Hope it helps:)

Brush- wise, I get mine at target or h&m and can get them very cheap, and they are fine quality. I've gotten my face brushes for around $5 and my eyes about $3- $6 or more for a set, and they have lasted me quite a few months now and have held up great:)

Go to Target and go straight to the ELF section! They have good stuff and for so cheap. I also love their studio brushes (the black ones) and stand by them. I like their powders, some concealers, blush, lip stuff, and mascara. For eyeliner I love Jordana's Made to Last (which I can get at Walgreens for like 3 dollars) and for foundation I'd recommend to start with either Revlon Nearly Naked or CoverGirl 3-in-1. Hope this helped!

Nyx, wet and wild , jordana, and other inexpensive brands have good hits and misses. just do your research before spending money. read about dupes and all. a dupe is a knock off of highend products. there's many dupes.
