For tonight is it safe to use craft glitter for my eyes? And how would I put it on so it sticks?

I wouldn't recommend it as it isn't tested on the skin and you could have a reaction or get some in your eye... Not a good idea.

NO. Craft glitter is tiny SHARDS OF GLASS. Don't put that crap anywhere near your eyes, it can fall into them and cut them, not to mention you'll never be able to get it off. Cosmetic glitter is specifically made to go on your face.

What Hannah said ^ 🙌🙌🙌 It's literally shards of glass lol. I work at a costume / theatrical supply store helping with sfx makeup and people always come in thinking they can use craft glitter. Cosmetic grade glitter is made specifically for your eyes and is more like a dust instead of a shard. Craft glitter can really hurt you, no bueno!

No don't do it, the chemicals in it are not safe for the delicate eye area and craft glitter is generally sharp and can easily cut your eye or give you an infection.

No it's not okay as it can hurt your cornea and make your eyes swell. Try instead cosmetic powders/glitters: they sell the specific glue but falsie glue works like charm.

I literally just finished watching a tutorial from Carli Bybel on YouTube using craft glitter and it looked great! However I do recommend a good adhesive to hold the glitter so it doesn't fall into your eyes cos ouchies if it does.

And that^ is why I hate how much faith people place in Youtube "gurus." Like all of us said, it's really not safe. It's glass. It should not be put on your eyes, because if it gets into them, it will cut them and hurt you. In addition, that makes getting it off impossible as well, since trying to rub it off like your regular makeup will just move it around your face and not actually pick any of it up. For the love of all that is good, DO NOT try to use it. I'm literally begging you not to. I'd hate for something to happen.

@hannah I agree completely! Anyone can just pull out a camera and record themselves but some honestly don't do the best things. I've had a friend who put craft glitter on and she went through hell when it got in her eye. There's a reason they make cosmetic glitter.

The ladies are correct please step away from using craft glitter and I absolutely agree with Hannah about the YouTube thing ^ you can't rely or believe the gimmicks that are spread on most of the so called Guru's and I use that term lightly or never but that seems to be what they call themselves.Don't do it just because it seem to look cute doesn't mean its safe.

I 1000% agree with hannah, not all youtibe gurus are reliable :( There are glitter pots made for make up application, that look a lot like craft glitter, NYX has very good ones. Just mix with vasealine to make a cream glitter so its easier to apply. xx

The glitter that's made for the eyes is tricky to me... So I definitely wouldn't recommend using the craft glitz! They are pretty but don't let the pretty colors fool ya! Take care of those eyes doll!

I didn't say it was safe I just said it looked cool lol. I've recently bought the nocturnal pigments and glitter sets for MAC and absolutely love them. I only use the glitter on my eyes with the Too Faced glitter glue and that holds it in place just fine with no movement or fall out. Anything bigger then that glitter is a HELL NO!

I just went to that YouTube video & posted a comment on using craft glitter. I added a little info from each post, about it being glass, can scratch your cornea and that a pro makeup artist said to NEVER use craft glitter! I just wanted to make sure I might stop as many ppl as possible from using it & after seeing the video, I'm glad I did!! Lol..
