I would love to take those but it takes me about four hours to get to each location, so I'll have to do it when I'm older and can travel more.

I am thinking of trying to get into the December session as well. Are you going to do the 2 or the 4 day?

Heard some very good reviews. I think its a good cram course based on what I have read.

And apparently you get pro discounts with your certification.

Hi Emily! I saw your question about the CMC school. I went to CMC! Great experience! I like and use everything they gave me to build my first professional makeup kit. The instructors are great and they will follow up with you even after you graduate. I took the master class and did the certification on airbrush makeup, It was worth it! I also liked the fact that I walked out of the courses with a professional portfolio, and a website, which are extremely important when you are starting as a makeup artist. ** note: if you do decide to attend the school make sure YOU CHOSE someone very beautiful, with perfect skin! as your model she will be on your portfolio and on your website. I hope this helps. Best of Luck to you! Natalia issa

Hey guys! I also wanted to inform you all I also attended the CMC makeup school in Austin Tx. I am not from that area. but I stayed close by with a family friend in Austin, and I must say it was the most educating experience. The instructors were SO nice, So helpful they walk you step by step. They were very professional, I took the MUA Pro Class in which they teach you pretty much the basics along with editorial, runway and Airbrush. I love that the class is smaller with about 7 or 8 people maximum, you really get that one on one and get the instructors full on attention. Also it is really fun for ME to meet new people, I had gained some wonderful friends and also colleges. It is truly something you need to experience if you want to learn and master you're craft.
I wish you the best on you're venture. No matter what choice you make! :D

I would definitely recommend it. I had a blast and took away some valuable stuff as well. I was already working but not necessarily charging people consistently. I traveled up from Houston and stayed the week at a hotel. I did a lot of research before and they were the best overall (besides going to Europe). The most to offer with the best quality. I didn't want to go to a school that when people looked it up they were like "what is this?!?" LOL. Some of the stuff we learned I was familiar with but even with that I got more education on why you might use a certain technique and stuff like that. I have been working a lot more since I was able to put together a website and even doing some trade work to enhance my portfolio and practice all the time. You get what you put in but I definitely think it is worth it if you can go.

Wow, thank you all so much for the feedback; it is so helpful! I am definitely excited and confident in my decision to take the class now!
Michelle, I am taking the 2 day for now and plan on doing the other 2 days sometime in the spring.
