Which salons should I work for that are great for first jobs?

That depends on what you want to do in, let's say five years. don't think this is a good place to ask for career advice.

Tiia, this is the perfect place to ask for career advice... Anyway, it depends on where your strengths are and the school you attended. If you went to an Aveda school, you should have no problem finding a job at an Aveda salon. If you feel like hair cutting is your strength, you may want to start at a kids salon or something like the salon inside JC Penney or even Wal-Mart! If you were more into the makeup field, try and get a job as a makeup artist for an actual salon. Also, I know Aveda salons in particular have salon "assistants". They kind of shadow the actual stylist to learn some more things before they begin taking their own clients. Hope this was at least a little bit helpful! And good luck to you!
