About 3 weeks ago I suffered from an allergic reaction to a new foundation that I was trying out. Since then the 1 side of my face that had the worst rash is extremely dry.

I've tried everything to sort it out but it won't go back to normal...

Any ideas what I can do? It looks awful as it's only 1 side of my face 😳

Try bio oil I have very dry skin on my face and I use it with my normal moisturizer... First put your normal moisturiser all over your face and let it soak in then put literally a few drops on the dry side of your face and gently massage into your skin!! It will feel very greasy at the start but the bio oil sinks into the skin beautifully and locks in moisture!! Be careful not to use too much bio oil as it's very potent.. I only use about 4 drops for my whole face!! 😊

My face was getting really dry from winter until I bought a clarisonic, that might help you?!

Moisturise with a cold cream, I use Avene comes in a tube (especially during the ski season due to the change in temperature and humidity). I like Eve's idea too. The idea is to Moisturise the skin layers that haven't come up so as the skin regenerates it'll smooth out. I'm sure it doesn't look as bad as you feel it does xx

Definitely exfoliate. Moisturizer will do nothing if the layers of skin are already dry and dead. Exfoliate, and follow that with your moisturizer (which can be thicker than normal).

Yes I agree with Hannah on exfoliating but don't do it every day. I have super dry skin and I use CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser and CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion (or you can try the Moisturizing Cream because you are so dry). As for exfoliator brands I really don't know because I just use my Clarisonic. But I would try a gentle exfoliator. Don't use try St. Ives though, because apparently it creates micro-cuts into your skin.

Use a everyday use exfoliation cream but, not everyday :)

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream! It's amazing for super dry skin and it doesn't contain any harmful chemicals that will irritate the skin. It's suitable for even the most sensitive skin :)
