I don't have anything to set the cream shadow with, all I have is regular eyeshadow...I tried setting it today, but some of it creased/clumped, and I had to fix it throughout the day...how can I prevent this from happening?

Use a primer or base.

A primer beforehand. It seems like overkill but it works.

Urban decay primer potion is amazing. The tube lasts for a long long time.

A thick primer like UDs works best, or really well in my experience. I user a cream shadow as a base the other day and with the primer under it it lasted from 7am to midnight without creasing.
