My best friend is an MUA and she has been doing my makeup for me but now she is going away to school and I really want to learn how to start doing my own makeup. I want some ideas and advice on where to start.
The hardest part seems to be knowing what colors or what technique to use for my face. Oh! And BLENDING!! Lol
Please help!!

Its hard to just tell you through text but the best possible advice I could give you is to watch as many YouTube tutorials possible and do your makeup along with them...lol practice and patience truly does make perfect.

Lol I know what you mean...but just take your time and remember that your not going to be as perfect as an MUA or a beauty guru so give yourself credit for trying : )

You're so right! I get frustrated because I feel like it never looks right but I also think it's because I don't have all the proper things needed to make a look that's befitting to me.

I know exactly how you feel...everyone uses all the expensive brands so I just make it work with what I have (elf, rimmed London, maybalene, and such)

Another thing you can do is have a makeup consultant give you some tips (: she can suggest the best colors, products techniques and she'll be able to see you so you have a better idea(:

The most important thing you need to start is time cuz without it things don't come out as good as they should, and you will also need patience and not to beat your self down remember your just starting, watch you tube videos by Wayne goss don't go running around watching and body cuz there are some people that don't know nothing and claim to know it all, get colored match at your local sephora for foundation it will help tones, consult with jaqueline and alma they are great great great mua and give great great tips and instructions with a lot of detail you can never go wrong with them and experiment it takes time to get the right things and right look for you hope this helped a bit 😃
