Why is SPF in foundation important and what does it do?! Curious!

It's just sunscreen, it's not too important to me because I use a SPF 55 sunscreen prior to applying my foundation. I'm not sure if most foundations offer broad-spectrum which is very important.

SPF protects your skin from UV rays. It is the main ingredient in sunscreen, but can be found in other various skin products. UV rays damage your skin, so SPF is important. It will also protect you from having wrinkles early! So if the foundation works for you and has SPF, then your doing great at picking out products! :)

Nonono, foundations with SPF are not the way to go. They cake up, and make your face very oily. I suggest to use an SPF pressed powder (you can buy that). It does not cake, and it also finishes the look :) hope I helped! Good luck! P.s. SPF foundation also clogs your pores easier, and irritates.
