I've had dandruff for ever and I've tried everything:head and shoulder, equate I think its called. I've tried scrubbing my hair during showers. Is there anyone that has any tips? ( I also come to realize that I have oily hair if that helps a little more)

Is dandruff something you can be allergic to?

If you're using really hot water in the shower that may be a problem

I have the same problem. I just bought Jason natural cosmetics dandruff relief shampoo and it's working amazingly!! I bought it at whole foods. It's the only thing so far that has worked for me and I've tried everything. Hope this helps! Xoxo.

Coconut oil would help and would probably even cure it
here's why: http://truenaturalremedies.org/how-to-get-rid-of-dandruff-fast/
just search coconut oil hair treatment on Google. they're all basically the same method (:

^if you're talking about mane n tail you shouldn't use it. it's bad for your hair & all the wax in it is going to weigh your hair down. it's meant for horses for a reason.

@lili
It's made for horses but it honestly doesn't do any harm to the hair. It actually makes the hair thicker, shinier, and softer.
And does it even have wax in it??

It does do harm to your hair. it's not ph balanced for humans. it doesn't make your hair any thicker either. once again, probably just an illusion from the wax build up!

Before you wash your hair use olive oil put it on places where is the dandruff, then hold it abou 3 hours, then wash your hair with shampoo head and shoulders.

If you don't wash your hair everyday try washing more often, and if that's not possible then put baby powder on your scalp, it will absorb the oils in your hair. Also wash your hair with cold water. Try asking your doctor or dermatologist about a medicated shampoo.
