hey beauties, i m trying to get into the academy as i listed above and would like some advice on how would i describe myself as why i really wanna b a makeup artist...i would like some tips on wht to say nd wht not to say and some key factors to put into the mini essay. Thnxz love:)

I have not applied at AOFM but I have definitely looked into it. As somebody who loves to write, I would say really let your personality shine through in the essay. Don't focus much on what you think they want to hear or don't because really if they dislike your personality then I'm sure you don't want to be associated with them! Tell them your passion. Sit down and think about why you REALLY do makeup and love it. I saw on your page that you are a licensed cosmetologist. Maybe talk about how you want to be a makeup artist because you already know the hair side of the beauty industry and you want to be trained in all aspects! Good luck <3
