Does anyone know any myths or bad tips about beauty, such as putting Vaseline on your eyelashes will help them grow, or using St. Ives apricot scrub will make your skin better?

Chocolate does not cause you to break out but sugar does there is a whole video on it and it makes sense totally because I've seen results myself. Sugar feeds the bad bacteria causing your acne which is why dermas usually prescribe antibiotics.. Also I've heard shaving doesn't make your hairs grow out more and thicker but it has for me.. So I asked and the thing is when you shave it cuts the hair straight across so it doesn't have the fine point anymore that made it look thinner so when it grows out the point ontop is flat which makes it look thicker.

I've also heard that your hair growth depends on the moon like whether it's becoming a full moon or crescent moon.. But that's just and old myth people use to say back then that's why they said to remove your hair when the moon is "getting smaller" cause your hair will tAke longer to grow back. Some people actually believe it..lol.

Frequent trims makes your hair grow faster is a fallacy. It just seems like it because when you trim your split ends off you decrease the chances of having the split going all the way up the length of your hair and then breaking off, thus making it shorter.

Vaseline, castor oil, etc.makes your eyelashes grow. FALSE. Nothing but Latisse makes them grow.
Using Mane n Tail, taking biotin, etc.makes your hair grow faster. FALSE. Your hair growth rate is determined by genetics. & Mane n Tail is TERRIBLE for your hair.
