Does anyone find their foundation to work best without primer? I don't have super oily skin but no matter what foundation I would use my skin would be so shiny and greasy. finally decided to go without primer and what a difference. I have been using lancome teint visionnaire and it has been amazing. my skin looks so smooth and just a bit dewy, never oily and gross. I don't think ill ever use primer again.

Me too. Primers never worked for me. Foundation sticks better To my skin without primer. And some way primer clog my pores.

The only two primers I've had positive results from are NARS and It Cosmetics. My skin can't handle 'cones so whenever I would try a cone based primer...oil production would go into overdrive followed by major skin irritation.

The only time I really used primer was with powder foundation. Now that I rarely wear pf I rarely use primer. It always gives me the greasies and makes my makeup oxidize more I swear. I usually wear a light moisturizer or nothing under my bb.

I don't use face primer and when I have I've never seen a difference. I use a mineral foundation because I don't like the feeling of liquids my skin feels suffocated. so I just stick to moisturizing before just so my foundation has something to cling to because I'm not too oily either. hope this helps :)

I never use primer. I stick to a mosturizer before makeup application and that does just fine!

Glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks primer is unnecessary...I rly don't think it does anything at all, no matter what brand it is.

I don't either!! now, I will use an eye primer to keep my shadow from melting snd the only one that has worked for me is Revlon eye brighter and primer.

Face primer is worth it if you need your makeup to stay on longer. I live by it. I wear NARS multi-protect primer for my face and smudge proof eyeshadow base for my eyes.
Honestly try it out for a few days and notice the different a primer can help your makeup last all day without the need of touch up.

Hibz, that's what I'm saying though...my make up lasts longer without a primer lol. like, I am Not a touch up kind of girl. I don't even carry a compact or lipstick in my bag! I found since I stopped using primer my make up looks and lasts so much better and longer and I have tried a lot. mac prep and prime, make up forever hd primer, clarins smoothing primer, smashbox photon finish oil free primer, hourglass, hard candy, mac skin brightening primer, and the list goes on..
