Braces are more affordable. They may also help make adjusting your bite a bit easier and quicker. Everyone is different though.

I had the option of either braces or Invisalign. Braces were the cheaper option however my dentist was worried since my brushing habits had only gotten better within the last few years. Plus with senior year approaching and the hassle of normal braces (which I dreaded so much) -- we decided to go with Invisalign. I had them for a total of six months since my teeth weren't too crooked.
It's really up to you (and how you'll pay for them), they're quite difference in terms of maintenance as well.
TIP: If you end up with Invisalign, make sure you wear them as recommended by your dentist. I had a few classmates in high school who also had them but rarely wore them. Although for them, it didn't make a difference, everyone is different. I wore mine 24/7 and after six months I was good. A friend of mine ended up needing another 3 months worth of aligners.

I had 12 teeth pulled out and then braces for 2.5 years. I highly recommend braces bc I feel like they have changed my life!
