You can use darker foundation to contour, and lighter foundation. Oh also concealer if you want. You can get a sculpting kit or a sculpting powder to contour. Or a grey cool tone brownish powder. Hope I didn't confuse you more.

What I like to do is put on my foundation first then highlight and contour blend with my beauty blender, set with banana powder then go back in and define my contour more with mac blunt
