So, I've been wanting to maybe pick up a Clarisonic for like let's be honest...years now. I have decided that this year I'm probably going to get one with my income tax return money. My questions however are...is it worth it? Also, which one is the best for the buck? I've really been leaning toward the Mia 2 for the price/functionality, BUT if the Mia itself is just as good I may go for it. I'm not 100% sure what each one does, and if it really makes a difference or not so that's why I'm asking you guys for advice.
What features make it what?
Should I get it based on speed?
Should I get it based on value?
These are the factors that are really holding me back right now.
What is the underlying difference between the Mia, Mia2 and the Aria, and how significant are they?
To be fair: I'm really just looking for something to clean my face better, and to prep it (exfoliate/cleanse/whatever) for serums, toners, etc. Also, I have been told that it REALLY helps with blackheads in the T-Zone so I'm really interested in that. I just want to know if it's worth the splurge or not, and if so which one should I get.

I have the mia 2. I bought it the beginning of this year and the first week of using it was absolute hell for my face lol. It broke me out like crazy, but now that my skin is used to it, it works very well :) I recommend getting the mia 2, because there are two speeds and you can alternate as your skin adapts to the cleaning. Make sure you start with the sensitive head brush and use a very gentle cleanser. I use tea tree cleanser from the body shop and I love it :) also, I use a night repair serum afterwards to help with the sensitivity. Overall I think it was a great investment. Good luck!!

I have the Mia one and I love it! your face will get bad in the beginning. mine only was for about 3 days and it became so much better! it is worth it to get it in my opinion.

Brandy S. I was actually going to pick that cleanser up! Glad you said something about it. I don't have acne prone skin, but my skin is quite oily. Do you recommend it for that use?

I just bought the mia 2 about three weeks ago and I really do love it. My face never really "purged" bad but I did notice a few zits coming up here and there. nothing bad or anything. in the 3 weeks I've been using it, my skin really has changed. my nose is almost free of.blackheads, the few under the skin zits I had are almost gone and I don't get dry patches anymore or overly oily tzone. over all my face is a lot smoother. I like the 2 speeds on it. if my face feels sensitive I go for the lower setting. otherwise I use the regular one. I'm sure its not necessary and the mia will do just fine.

I have the Mia 2 but I feel like the 2 speeds are unnecessary since I only use the slower speed. So I'd say get the Mia and save yourself some money. I went from using it every other day (summer) to once/twice a week (winter). I do feel that my skin has gotten more sensitive after I started using my Clarisonic :( But since I wear face makeup everyday, I feel like it's a good investment and tool for exfoliation and removing my makeup around my nose (which is almost impossible with my hands alone). My most important advice is don't use it too much. I didn't go through the purging phase since I was being careful about not overusing it. I read some reviews saying that purging only means you are using the product too much that your skin is reacting poorly towards it. The good thing is that most Clarisonic sellers allow returns. So you could get one and try it out. If you don't end up liking it, you can always return it.

I'm not sure about oil control, my nose does get quite oily still but I'd rather be oily than dry lol.
