I suggest saving your money and reading up on the placebo affect. No offense to anyone who believes in this stuff, but it really is a purely psychological effect; nothing to do with crystals or energies. Crystals have no special powers; they are merely manifestations of a molecular structure for a particular set of elements. Brushing up on some geology might be useful too.

Ben could you please explain what reiki treatment does, please? We have a place in walking distance that does reiki and I'm curious about it =)

I don't think it's very fair to disrespect someone's beliefs that way. Scriptures if any religion are merely ink on paper and in themselves contain on special powers, and yet these books help billions of people all around the world deal with their daily lives. Even if it is a placebo affect, there is no harm in that. Faith in or beliefs (whatever belief that is) is all we have to better ourselves before we pass away.

You're entitled to your beliefs as I am entitled to answer scientifically. I did not disrespect anyone; I responded with a fact, backed up by empirical evidence. I was trying to save Jenna some money-- rather than buying overpriced rocks from an occult/spirit shop, she can accomplish the same effect via the power of her own will (the placebo effect). Many attribute the results to mystical forces or energies; my point is that she can achieve the same thing for free.

They don't emit frequencies, they can amplify them (depending on the crystalline structure on a microscopic level). I studied physical geology for two years, it was my minor.
Like I said, that is your belief and you are free to believe what you will. I would rather believe objective, academic, peer-reviewed scientific research. There's nothing wrong with both of us sharing those opinions here; it is an open forum. (Though technically this thread doesn't belong on a beauty site at all since they eliminated the Health section.)
