There is always a chance it will. If you do it with bleach, yes it will. It's better to do it with dye by a professional. Hope this helps 😄

Yes it will damage it,all dye and bleach contains chemicals. If your hair is that dark the ombre might not show up without bleach or the results will probably not be as good,I'm not 100% sure if that is right. If this is something you really want to do I suggest you watch some YouTube videos. I was watching Zoellas video and she said ombre damaged her hair so you need to treat it with repairing serums and deep condition and just keep it as healthy as possible,I suggest morocan oil for repair.

I tried a soft ombre & they had to bleach the ends. It didn't seem to be damaged until months after, so just take care of your hair using speical producuts meants for deep conditioning & nourishing for hydration & maintenance of moisture. & you should wash your hair as much as you normally would to keep the color & the oils in you hair! I'd say about every three days. but I agree with Grace, you should get it done by a professional so they can guide you in the right direction.

Yolande explained the damage part. But no you don't need to bleach your hair even if it is dark. My hair is literally dark brown or a little tint of black. And I got ombre. It shows up very well and if you want to make sure it really does come out just leave it in for a bit more.

Depends on which dye you use. if you get it professionally done they will use stuff that doesn't damage it.

If you go darker you won't be bleaching it so it won't damage it. If you lighter you will be bleaching it and yes it will damage it. But it won't be to bad.

Yea, I used a jet black semi permanent dye. And it didn't damage my hair ( my hair is a natural dark brown) but whenever you lighten it with any kind of bleaching agent, you're damaging the hair and will need to be more cautious with your hair. (Deep condition, leave in etc.)
