Color won't lift color. bleach or color remover is your only option. I would recomend going to a professional. black can be hard to.lift.

I just went through the same thing about a year ago. I used color oops to lift the black. it didn't make a huge difference though. then I used manic panic monthly after thst until I grew out the black. I use d vampire red. its the only brand I've ever used that actua lly covered the black. just my personal experience. good luck girlie!! ;)

Plum won't do anything. black is the darkest color in the spectrum. meaning nothing you put over it will show up. washing with hot water won't remove black. its pretty Much a lost cause.

It worked for me! it couldn't hurt to try. its semi permanent vegan dye so its not bad. I just continued to use it monthly and it worked great even on the firdt application. maniv panic also has a bleaching kit if you decide to go yhat route.

Did you have black though

Yes I had years of black dye in my hair. my hair salon refused to bleach out my hair because they didn't want to damage it. so I bought the at home color remover. it only lifted my color maybe 1 shade and I was so disappointed. so I went to my local sallys and bought the manic panic vampire red and I just kept applying it every month until I grew the black out. it was a long process and I can say it would work for everyone but I am now addicted to manic panic.

And the vampire red did show up on me on the first application.
