P.S. Sorry for the awkward pic, it's so hard to show because it goes all the way across.

Maybe a hot water soak will loosen it so you can rub it off?

Warm wash cloth works wonders! Let it set for awhile and then lightly scrub it away :)

I agree with using oil, it works great for removing glue.

I had these "adhesive tape removing wipes" specifically for silk surgical tape. I bought them at a medical supply store/pharmacy when I had back surgery and it was just in the aisle along with all the medical tape and gauze and other wrapping supplies. They were free of alcohol and other harsh chemicals, but they work like a dream! I gave them to a friend along with my other bandaging supplies so I can't look at the ingredient or what they were specifically =( But they were the only thing I ever used that truly got rid of every last bit of tape residue after trying lots of home remedies!
I would give your local pharmacy a try and if you don't see anything out on the floor, ask the pharmacists on staff if they have any solvent or wipes to remove surgical tape adhesive and I'm sure they can direct you towards a product or home remedy =)

Thanks guys! I'll try your suggestions :)
And Natalie, thanks so much, as always you were very helpful. I'll definitely go look for those wipes, because I really don't feel like going through this hassle every time I've taped my knee!

I used rubbing alcohol and q tips because they were gentle. :)

Not sure if this would work... But peanut butter! It works to get stuck on stickers off of windows etc... But prob works the same as oil.

I would use oil , apply it to some paper towels and cover it. Let it sit for a few minutes (try keeping it warm to , helps the oil work ). Should wipe right off.
My kids get lots of cuts so we use a lot of bandaids that leave residue behind and this helps on there sensitive skin. good luck.
