I want to know what it means if makeup is organic? Or anything orgain food, makeup anything? I don't know what organic means only that it's natural? Idk can someone help me?

You don't know what organic means, because they're aren't regulations or guidelines on organic. There are vegan products, but organic can mean anything.

There's a store called Lush basically all there cosmetics are organic

Lush is not a 100% Organic store. They really don't deserve the reputation they have in my opinion. There is nothing fresh, and handmade about artificial fragrances, dyes, and colors. There products actually contain a lot of phototoxic/inflammatory oils and other ingredients that should be avoided in general. A lot of it is just crap you can get in your kitchen, so it's just funny. Of course there's nothing wrong with shampoos and bubble baths, but not a company I would trust for my face.
Like Sapphire said, organic can basically mean anything. The regulations on what we can label as organic is absurd, and just misleading. A good example is sugar.. Organic Sugar. There is no such thing as Organic Sugar, that is like saying Organic Soda. Sugar comes from Sugar Cane... which is a plant... And you literally chop it up, peel it, and chew on it. This way you get the juices out of it, that's all there is to it. To turn sugar cane into sugar it needs to be processed. If it's not Sugar Cane, then it will never be 'Organic' Sugar. Just an 'Organic' lie, lol.
I have come across some cosmetic companies that claim to be organic or all natural... faerie organic... tarte.. but I'm sure they are not 100000% organic at the end of the day.

Kitty really hate the nail on the head with that one!
But if you're REALLY worried about what you put on your face try a 100% mineral makeup line I love Micabella/micabeauty

or fake?

Um...actually organic has to do with the process in which the plant is grown, not how its harvested. in the case of organic sugar, what makes "organic" is the fact that there were no harmful pesticides, hormones or other artificial additives used to raise the plant. how you extract the sugar from the cane plant has 0 to do with it. many local farms actually grow organic food but the USDA logo is very expensive and many farmers cannot afford it.
on the flip side. just because something is organic doesn't mean its eco friendly. it takes 3xs the water to grow an organic cotton plant verses conventional cotton. since cotton is not ingested its really a waste of water

Maura-no, lush isn't bad. they're between 60-70% organic depending on what products they're currently making. they have a "lushopedia" on their website that lists every ingredient they use, a brief history and why they use it. phototoxic essential oils are used virtually in all skincare and cosmetic companies
bergamot
grapefruit
lemon (how many girls on here use that!)
bitter orange
manderine
tangerine, just to name a few

@Nala H. I buy mine from tbe UK website. I usually save between 20-50% even with shipping :) I always convert the amount and compare it to what it would've cost in the US just to make sure I'm saving though.
