You could try applying it wet. Not only should that make the pigments show up more, it should allow you more precision as well :)

Are you applying it in sweeping motions, or are you pressing the brush to your eye to pack on the color?

That same thing is happening with me with my naked 2 palette. I just have to use my finger to pack on color and lightly blend it out so I won't brush it all away.

Try layering it, one layer, then a second layer until you get the result you want.

@hannah w. I use sweeping motions if I try to pack it on no color comes off.

Try picking the top layer off with like tweezers. That's what I do when eyeshadows don't show up

Are you using primer? try a primer under it.

I've never had this problem. Use a white cream liner has base and then apply the eyeshadow over.

I would try using a eye primer before applying eyeshadow. that usually helps.
also, I think wetting the brush did help (: the colour is a lot more noticeable on your skin. you should continue trying that, as well as layering. I think that would help a lot!

I think the light shimmery shades in the N3 are a little dusty too, I have much more pigmented and shimmery pink/gold shades. I still need to use the N3 more, its still pretty new to me.

I've heard if you maybe use a white pencil as a base or maybe use a primer on the lid before applying with a damp brush would help?
