How can I get my nails to grow longer?

Biotin. I take a ton of biotin for my hair but you can see how much my nails grow too. I painted them just 5 days ago. Kind of annoying because I play guitar and piano at school and the guitar teacher once pulled a clipper out of his pocket and started giving me a manicure. He even filed them. Totally weird. But I can't keep up with my nails and they need to be short for music

Healthy diet, file once a week to encourage new nail growth (side to centre 45 degree angle) nails grow longer in the summer also, don't use nail polish remover more than once a week on your nails and use an acetone free version, and drink 2.1 litres of water a day :)
