How to get long/strong nails??

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make your nails longer and stronger?? My nails are short and don't grow fast.. And they always seem to get caught on things /:

Sally hensen do some really great ones,cuticle cream,having a healthier diet/drinking water,when your hands are wet after a bath/shower/swimming dry them quicker,nail strengthner (wet n wild do a few).

Nail shield from oriflame. Also try to file them often but don't cut them. I've found increasing the content of protein in your diet helps to. X
