Hey Ladies*!

I'm new here, && I've been doing a lot of browsing. You all seem to talented && knowledgeable about fashion && beauty, so I'm definitely happy to have found this app! I need some advice! Can anyone recommend a good foundation? I have combination skin, && it gets extremely oily in the summer, so I also need a product recommendation for something that minimizes oil. The latest foundation I've tried, from Black Radiance, breaks me out, && every pimple has left dark marks that I'm trying to fade. I plan on going shopping later today for foundation, something to minimize oil && shrink pores, && something to fade my dark marks but I'm so lost!

I highly recommend revlon colour stay foundation, it's amazing for keeping skin oil free, brilliant coverage and lasts all day. On top of that I recommend Rimmel stay matte powder it's brilliant for oily skin too. If you use both of these together you shouldn't have any problems with oil, they're both amazing products :-)

Hi Destiny! Welcome to beautylish!! Well, I have super oily skin and I tend to breakout. I don't like to put powder on my face so I use the anti-blemish Clinique foundation. It's very light, and with the right primer (I also use one from Clinique) my oily skin doesn't look so oily anymore. I mean, it's still oily as hell, that's my complexion but it no longer looks nasty.

First step is to have a good skincare routine. Cleanse, tone, and moisturize everyday (even if you have oily skin). I highly recommend Simple Skincare brand and Avene. Both are great and gentle on sensitive skin and don't leave your face oily or too tight feeling.
As for foundation, you need a primer. A primer acts as a barrier between your skin and your makeup and it will help control the oil. I really like Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer. It's silicone based so if you have dry patches it might cling to them. You can also check out Tarte's Primer or Laura Mercier Matte Primer. As for foundation I love L'Oreal True Match Foundation. Very light on the skin and has medium coverage. Also check out Tarte Foundation and Cover Fx.

I love the MUFE mat velvet line it's full coverage, feels very light and it does mattify but it's better to use a powder over it to get an even more matte effect

And I second Shauna on the hourglass primer - goes great with the MUFE too and definitely a good base (as in properly prepped skin) is the secret to a great foundation finish for sure.

^^ Yes the MUFE Mat Velvet definitely works great with that primer. My only complaint with the MUFE foundation is I find it really extenuates fine lines and if you have any dry patches on your face it will make them noticeable. You may also want to check out MUFE HD Foundation.

Thank you ladies* I love the True Match foundation, but I've only found in once in my shade! A lady at Clinique once told me my complexion was 'different' && I've found that to be true when looking for foundation. I typically have to mix two colors to find my perfect shade. As for cleansing, I've just started using Neutrogena's Visibly Even foaming wash, && I love it thus far, but I never use toner! I guess I should pick some up tomorrow. Any suggestions?
