I've been looking more into organic and mineral makeup and was wondering if there were any cons to it? I saw a moderator say mineral makeup was not a good choice but why? And is Alima Pure a good brand to start with?

@Em, why do you think it's bull? And none taken lol, I just want to know. If it doesn't help me then it would be a waste of money to buy organic makeup and throw and give away my makeup.

Mineral makeup is generally just loose or pressed powder. So, any loose powder foundation will do just as well as any mineral foundation. This is really more so for marketing, and it has worked quite well.
The issue with Mineral Make up is that, in fact, it can be quite poor in terms of skin care.
Often times, these companies use irritating ingredients. Yes, bismuth oxychloride, like Em mentioned, is an irritating ingredient commonly found in mineral make-up. And irritation can worsen your skin and even cause more acne by triggering hormones.
However, that is not the only irritating ingredient. So just because a product lacks bismuth oxychloride, does not mean it's handy and ready to use. Mineral make up can contain tons of irritating ingredients, I have even seen cinnamon in mineral makeup... something you should just avoid.
These minerals, although quite miniscule, can actually 'poke' at acne and your pores, and enlarge them as well.
Just because it is 'organic, natural, etc.' does not mean that it is good for your skin. Poison Ivy is as organic as it gets, would you rub that all over your face?
Both natural and synthetic products have their fair share of bad ingredients, all it takes is reading the list.
But the mineral/organic make up hype really is just bull like Em said... some of these ingredients are as natural as plastic.

Okay, thanks so much! I actually don't have sensitive skin. My skin is normal, but it leans more towards the dry side sometimes. But thanks, I don't think I'm going to waste money on it.
