Thanks for explaining, definitely sounds worth a try for dry/damaged hair. I like how you think Natalie Phyto is a good Hanukkah or Christmas gift :)

Stay away from heated products like straighteners and curlers! They'll damage your hair more (unfortunately I can say from experience). To rejuvenate the life in your hair and prevent split ends, deep condition your hair at least once a month. Drink lotss of water, and make sure your last rinse in the shower is on cool water, it provides a good, healthy break from the hot water for you scalp. Hope this helped, and good luck(:

Avoid, avoid hair styling products and heat at this point. What I recommend to many of my friends because I know it works for me invest in good Silica and Biotin supplements I use the brand Solgar, or go for Horsetail (natural silica) this will grow your hair providing you take it properly. It will also give you fuller and thicker hair, treat it from roots to ends with Organic Coconut Oil, and what I also love and use religiously along that is Ion effective care treatment conditioner!

I recently went through something similar, and my hair is now the same length as yours! I only straighten it 2 times a week and I've been using two different conditioners that you should try! The Organix Coconut Oil Conditioner, and the Mane N Tail Conditioner. They're helping my hair so much! I hope this helped xoxo~

Pantene and Mane N Tail are just a band-aid on a full-thickness wound at this point. They're loaded with silicones and will make your hair FEEL soft, but not actually be able to repair it.
I highly recommend using Keratin or Placenta treatments 2-3x a week, as well as a similar-ingredient leave-in conditioner.
Sleep with a silk pillowcase if you can; if that's not comfortable, a high threadcount will allow less friction between your head and the pillow.
Also, avoid heat at all costs {use UVA/UVB protectant spray when going in the sun}, and NEVER brush your hair when it's wet, as it is 30% weaker.
Source: I am a hairdresser/esthetician; and have had this happen to me in beauty school. I cried for a bit .. but 2 years later my hair is halfway down my back (:

I have naturally super dark brown hair and went platinum blonde once and after bleaching so much for so long eventually my hair was like straw. The ONLY two things that made an insane difference for me, are these: Joico K-pak Reconstructor (I used as deep conditioner every couple days and it made my hair soooo much better, even helped it to be able to hold dye again.) and also Kerastase Elixir Ultime (put on my hair after showering and it made it so moist and added that healthy oiliness back into my hair without greasiness.) Highly recommend these. The Keratase thing was a sample from birchbox once and I actually got the whole one, despite the high price. Worth it for dry, crispy hair!
