Alright, so I've been trying to perfect a nice hot red. I don't mind it to be too show-offy. I want it to be red, not like brown with soft red undertones. I used Red Passion from manic panic (a dye line I use often) and it washed into a soft pink in 3 washes. The picture attached is what it was after 2(!!) coats and I'll comment what it is now, after 3 washes. Are there any box reds that will stick for atleast 2-3 weeks? I don't mind redying it often. Just not every week!! 😘

Maybe try a Sally's brand? I'm pretty sure they have this brand in red.

I don't know if you will be able to get this, but Pravana has a line of vivid dyes that are more permanent. You usually have to have a cosmetology license to get them, but I found you some on eBay :)

Mix some of your dye into your conditioner! I had red hair for a while, but my hair was too damaged and porous, so it would not hold red in my hair and I had to redye it every week or two. You can also try using a protein filler on your hair before you apply the dye next time, it should help fill out the hair shaft and give the dye molecules something to "hold on to." good luck =)

Now that it is pink you can actually get a dye for the color of natural red hair and have it turn out a nice red. I've tried it thinking I would get a auburn red color but it turn out a hot red since my hair is strawberry blonde. If you already have red hair it's just going to make the hair reder if you try dying it a ed color. Also a lot of redhead box dyes don't have the exact color because it is an extremely hard color to copy.
Also radiant red has a shampoo and conditioner brand just for dyed red hair so it does not fade.
They also have one for natural redhead so the sun does not bleach out the red hair and turn it to blonde which I use. I love it snide it does work.

Dyed red is the hardest color to keep since it does love to fade.

Hi Peyton! Okay, today I'm going to sit down and make a video on how I've kept my red hair!! I suggest special effects nuclear red, it is the brightest and the longest lasting it's a veggie base dye, and good for your hair. you can get it on Amazon for 13 or $14. Wash your hair with a clarifying shampoo, then put the dye on and wrap it in a plastic bag and a warm towel and sleep in it. it's conditioning, no peroxide and actually makes the condition of your hair better! only use sulfate free shampoo's and wash in cold water as few times a week as possible. add a little bit of the special-effects to your conditioner (I suggest Aveda madder root conditioner) and leave it on for 3 to 5 minutes. I also suggest Tressa watercolor shampoos they have several shades of color depositing reds. I'm going to sit down today and film a video on how I care for my red hair but I hope that helps!!😘❤️

Red hair it totally different from green hair. It is a pain to bleach out. But now that it is pink it might be easy.
