Return it! I tried a few and they all made my hair crunchy, and powdery looking, I found suave and its cheap, smells alright and keeps my hair degreased for the day and soft

How close did you hold the can to your hair? Use in shorts bursts about a foot away from your hair.

I was using the bed head one but I found the dove one works the same and smells better.
