Does it really matter? Which one do you prefer?

I think it depends on the product. Some are worth the money but there are drugstore products that are great dupes. I think eyeshadows, powder foundations, primers, and some lip products are better in the high end range but at the drugstore there are liquid foundations, liners, and bb creams and tinted moisturizers can be found at the drugstore. :)

I only splurge on foundation and eyeshadows. Wayne Goss has a video on YouTube about which products to splurge on and which to save on, worth a look.

It depends what kind of things you really like/use. For example...if you love doing cool eye shadow looks maybe you could splurge on eye shadow. So it depends on each product and what you like.

Like others have said it really depends on the product. Things like primers and lipsticks I think there are excellent drugstore products that match exactly with high end ones. I do however think that foundations are better high end wise and there are eyeshadows that there are not dupes for in drugstore products. So it really just depends.

What is high end?

High end is like more on the pricy side. Like MAC for example.
