Heya! I'm currently making my own lipstick by melting and combining different lipsticks and balms. Has anyone ever done this? Also does anybody know nice colour combinations or coulours to make? I have very fair skin.

I use crayons! Is less toxic than most lipsticks and you choose whatever colors you want!

My cousins always doing weird experiments involving creating cosmetics she made a nice nice tinted lipbalm with food colouring and Vaseline. how do you do it with crayons?

I like to melt lipsticks together and have them on hand and ready. Never liked the crayon lipsticks cause they're just not as pigmented and bold. I've mixed the Nyx Pinkerbell with a orange/nude shade to get a lighter version of Pinkerbell. I have a warm complexion and Pinkerbell by itself looks hot pink rather than yellow-pink. Try mixing think pink by wet and wild with a little but of a nude to get a more nude pink. Not too nude and not too pink.

Ooh that sounds nice thanx! and for Dee L and Emerald N, you put some water in a pan then put a glass bowl over the water, making sure the bowl doesn't touch the water. then you boil the water and melt crayons in the bowl, mixing different crayons until you get the desires colour. you then add petroleum jelly (Vaseline) then put it in a container and leave it in the fridge to cool and thicken.

For crayon you do not use Vaseline. Well I don't.. I use coconut oil. Works better.

Oh, I made my own blush. I took my favourite lipstick (well, okay, a cheaper dupe) and some liquid foundation and some face lotion. I melted the lipstick down, and mixed in the foundation and lotion and then put it in an old compact. It works perfect for me and looks natural. Its also buildable, because of the fact its a cream, the lotion sinks into your skin, so it doesn't get cakey or overdone :-)

Yes! I've made my own crayon lip colors with crayons, jojoba oil, and Shea butter. It isn't super pigmented but it's a nice tinted balm for me (:

There is a pin on Pinterest where they use oils and other products mixed with dry kool aid mixes, I haven't tried it but it looks interesting.

Thanks everyone! I've made two. one is a pinky red and the other is a sort of deep red that I can't really describe. but I've not tried using them yet, so this could be interesting!
