Which color should I go?

Hello beauties I'm sooo confused because of this. the left is my natural color and the right a current picture. I want to go light again but I don't know if light suits me? and then again I'm afraid to damage my hair.
so my questions are: which color suits me better? and if I color my hair back to light, which shade should I do? I want a blonde/honnyish color
and last question: which steps should I take for getting.y own color back without damaging too much.

I really like the darker shade, but I honestly feel like something in the middle of these two colors would look great. Is your hair black or just dark dark brown?

@ madison my natural haircolor is the first pic and now it is a very dark brown but not as dark as it looks in the pic.
