Is bed head dumb blonde good for toning?

I ombréd my hair a few months ago and the ends are getting pretty brassy. My hair is too damaged to rebleach to help the color.
Will this help with toning it?
It's a really light lavender so I don't really see how it's going to impact the color.
I read that some girl on here said to apply purple shampoo to dry hair for an hour and that that would help tone it aswell.
Does anyone have another product that helps them tone their hair?

Shimmer Lights Purple shampoo helps. Sally's also has an off brand on that works just as well(:
