I think MAC is definitely mostly hype, and the KVD line deserves the hype allll the way.

I completely agree with Alli

Urban Decay Naked, the name is what drives people to buy their products.

Really? Is MAC not all that great? *has people recommend me their products all the time* I was wondering...

MAC, Lorac, and Urban Decay Naked. I think Urban Decay does deserve hype though because I haven't tried a product I wasn't disappointed with. I think Buxom and Kat Von D both deserve more of a hype though.

Mac for sure. Sure they're high quality but over here in australia it's not worth spending 40$ for a lipstick lol.

I agree that the Urban Decay Naked palettes have a lot more hype than they deserve :/
I feel NARS products deserve a little more hype than they get. I've yet to be disappointed by anything from NARS.

Also I agree with Jacqlyn, I feel like Rimmel deserves some props.

Overrated:
Maybelline... the only product I have that I like is the age rewind concealer. Everything else has disappointed me. Why even spend money on their lippies? They look so drying and flakey!
Covergirl mascaras... blushes.. bronzers.. eyeshadows. Awful pigmentation, definitely digging in when it comes to these products.
The Naked Palettes are most definitely hyped. They have nice colors but the pigmentation isn't that great, and I feel like even my BHCosmetics 88 Palettes does just as well in pigmentation for half the cost. Even the NYX Plaettes are much better.
Lime Crime Velvetine... Girls say they could kiss their boyfriends and it won't budge. HAH!
Okay... no, first off I got the red lipstick ALL OVER my mouth when I ate.. and I waited for about an hour and a half before eating.
It looked like I was cracked out and had no sense of where lipstick goes. I also looked like I was murdering the Mango I was eating.
Yes... the color did stay on my lips but it also transferred everywhere else, and all I did was put on a single layer. It also does not apply evenly.
Taking it off is a mission, which is nice but only if it won't transfer everywhere else, so it basically spread all over my chin and the outside corners of my mouth. So I cannot even wipe it off to eat and re-apply it.
I want to eat in peace and not worry about looking like I walked into Sephora and decided to eat all their red lippies and didn't wipe my mouth. I seriously looked like Megan Fox in Jennifer's body when she was eating. Not cute!
This is a 'having a drink and small appetizers' type of lipstick (like any other lipstick) not a 'You can eat dinner' and not worry type.
For 26 dollars in total, just no.
Underrated:
OCC Liptars.. Beautiful pigmentation.. creamy.. you can mix colors. I can wipe these off, they have a matte selection.. great product. Only need a pin drop.
Kat Von D Setting Spray Recommended by Jacqueline H... Make up does not BUDGE!
Inglot Gel Liner.. Awesome pigmentation... great staying power!
Jordana Mascaras.. Volumizing Mascara's are great!
Lumene's BB Cream... although I started the trend on here LOL!
Mix of both over & underrated.
Wet n wild
Their lipsticks are nice, but not ALL the colors come out looking the same.( Just peachy is a disaster for me) For drugstore lipsticks worth a dollar, they are great. But lets not try comparing them to high end.
L'oreal's dewy foundation
They are OK but maybe for someone who isn't too into spending money for quality and who doesn't really wear make up.
L'oreals Lippies
SOO nice and cremy but of course on the pricier side

Thank you ladies again! I do like Rimmel , their lipsticks are great, and the concealer I've tried is great too! The eyeliner are very pigmented as well! I do like WnW as well, I own nearly the entire line of mega last matte lippies, and I agree that they are good, but drying. Just peachy and bare it all were my first purchases and they looks terrible on me because of the fact that bare it all IS my skin color, or a shade or two off, and just peachy made me look like death! However I have genuinely liked the others! Ther eyeshadows are awesome for the price, and the eyeliner is great too! Kitty, I NEED that Lumene BB cream in my life, and I've had my eyes on Jordanas best lash extreme mascara for a while! I love the detail of your experience with the velvetines, as I have has them on my wishlist, but they have been voided because I don't want to spend 26$ on a crappy product. Thank you all again!

I really think elf is overrated. I get that it's budget friendly, but I have not found anything out of that brand I like. They all just seem like cheap knockoffs.
I think Buxom is underrated, I would honestly say they are one of the best brands at Sephora. Their blushes are crazy good!

I have to agree with everyone about MAC. I absolutly hate their foundations... and to think I was stupid enough to use it when I was younger. I also think maybelline is overrated too. I like certain things but as a collection I don't think its worth the hype.
I think nyx and nars deserve allllllll the hype they can get, they're both AMAZING
I'm sure there a bunch of others but I'm too tired to think:)

L.A. colors liquid eyeliner. It does not budge all day and quite honestly... It's a dollar at the dollar store.
