I read about the aspirin mask somewhere this week and tried it twice! my skin feels lovely and all clean! pores are smaller and definitely cleaner, less blackheads and a slight glow..and an acne mark that would have taken a month to go away on its own, is disappearing fast!

Lol. Coconut & Citrus Face Mask. It feels so good against my skin. I make masks' every other day , so I don't get bumps or marks on my face. And love love LOVE scrubs. I'm crazy over then C;

A word of caution...if one has any pre-existing medical conditions...pregnant/breastfeeding,allergic/sensitive to aspirin when taken orally, asthma or blood disorders...I highly advise not doing an aspirin mask.

It has to be aspirin! and DO NOT use it if you are allergic to aspirin or have blood thinning problems or are pregnant or breastfeeding coz research shows skin does absorb aspirin.

Its very easy to make..just grab a couple of aspirins..put them in your hand and drop a couple of drops of water on them to make a thick paste..apply it on skin leave on for 15 mins or so..scrub and wash away..

Do not use it more than twice a week if your skin is oily..if its dry only once a week!

If you are using enteric coated aspirin..then ull have to use a grinder to make it into a powder it won't dissolve dircetly in water...so its more convenient to use good old plain aspirin

Salicylic acid and asprin do have same active, but, tgere is no way of measuring the stregnth of a mask made from asprin. Peels in general are usually done once a month to start. Over use, can damage acid mantle, cause hyperpigmentation, chemical burns, scarring, hyper senitivity, dryness, ect. Some friendly info, though I know people will do it anyway... just remember, your skin, is your bodies most important organ. You can life with one kidney, damaged liver or heart... but destroy the bodies frist line of defense, and regulation... it will not survive.

Amy you are right but that is the problem with all DIYs..and the same with the $50 scrubs that we use..anything overdone can harm us..which is why I suggested only once a week use...I've tried so many scrubs n masks nothing worked and now this cleared up my skin in a week so I thought better this once a week than those chemicals everyday :-)
