If you go to the doctor they can prescribe something for you but there aren't really any home remedies I don't think so.

I think that's lovely (: I wish my hair grew fast! I'd totally donate my hair!

Unfortunately there's really nothing you can do. I'd just suggest learning to trim it yourself in between major change trims.
I definitely understand though. I got my sidecut done a couple weeks ago (it was shaved right down), and last night I realized it now tickles the top of my ear. So I just trimmed those pieces and am going to buy a real trimmer set tomorrow.

I just cut my hair short too...a bob to be exact and I'm loving it too and I'm hoping my hair won't grow fast either lol.

Your hair growth rate is genetic, so you can't slow it down.

My hair is the same way...I do what is called "dusting" in the natural/curly hair community. In between my annual trims I go in with trimming scissors and in sections take off a very small length. With my hair being curly I do it when hair is dry. There is nothing we can do to slow it down genetically and I was told that as I get older it should slow down a bit so for now I'm just going to enjoy it because when I do my big cut I'll have enough hair for two lil beauties to have thru Locks of Love.

I was so surprised when I read the title :-D definitely a first! don't think there is really anything that can slow down hair growth! all I can think of is if you are using a hair oil or smethng that promotes hair growth like castor oil then stop doing that.
