In serious need of haircut advice!

Okay, ladies, so I've been putting off cutting my hair for MONTHS because I don't know what I want yet. The last few times I went in I didn't know what to ask for and it didn't end well. So I'll attach a pic of my lovely, very round face (haha) and maybe someone can offer me suggestions. I'm planning on trying to lighten my hair with honey after I get it cut so I'm not tryna get any color done just a cut that isn't necessarily on trend but rather something thatd be just really flattering and workable for me. I'm a pretty casual chick and rarely am willing or able to spend much time on my hair except maybe on the rare occasion I actually go out. Most days I just put it up and go to work. Especially these days since my hair is getting so ratty it absolutely has to get taken care of this weekend. Advice would be intensely appreciated! Help!

I've heard that before but I'm not sure I could dare to chop it all off. I've had long hair since I was a kid.. But I guess there's nothing wrong with a little change..
