This may be a dumb question but how do you exfoliate? & what does it do for the skin and what areas should you exfoliate? Also what products do you use to exfoliate? Please and thank you (:

Exfoliation is something you can do for your whole body. It removes dead skin cells and promotes healthy skin (when you don't exfoliate sometimes your skin can look dry, because the dead skin cells just sit on top).
There are two types of exfoliation: manual and chemical. Manual exfoliation involves using scrubbing products (mitts, brushes, exfoliating cleansers) to remove the dead cells. Chemical exfoliators work by applying them to your face or body, leaving them there for a few minutes, and then rinsing. The dead skin cells will have been removed by the enzymes or chemicals.
For my face, I use my Clarisonic for twice daily exfoliation, and occasionally an enzyme exfoliator like ExfoliKate by Kate Somerville.
For my body, I haven't found a product I love yet, but the Burt's Bees Honey and Shea exfoliator is lovely. With that, I exfoliate by rubbing it onto my body in circles, then rinsing.

You should exfoliate from head to toe it help with blood flow, cell turnover and a healthy complexion, you can do it several ways manual exfoliating on your body using scrub or body gloves which I love for your face Chemical or manual ,manual being microdermabrasion,or gentle scrubs or enzyme done with fruit acids or Aha Alpha hydroxy acid products can be used

You should exfoliate all over hahah.
Face my face, I either use my okay face brush or just a washcloth.
For my body, I use an exfoliating bar. It looks like a soap bar but it's a really rough texture, it's amazing. Makes my body softer than a baby's bottom.. lmfao.
I've found "exfoliating" facial/body washes don't do squat for me.

No not a dumb question at all! Use a scrub to exfoliate, the one I use is by St. IVES- apricot scrub that removes blackheads and prevent blemishes growing! I exfoliate my face, avoiding my eyes, concentrating on the nose because there's where most of my blackheads love to reside. Exfoliating removes dead skin cells from your skin and cleanses it thoroughly! Always exfoliate AFTER you cleanse your face for a better result, because once your face is clean, the scrub will help to just clear off any excess dirt, which is awesome. I hope this helps, haha!

Here is a helpful site on dry skin brushing your body before showering. I find most scrubs too harsh for me or too soft while dry skin brushing really helps keep my skin soft. Another benefit is not buying yet another product plus the packaging etc...As much as I love buying products I am trying to reduce my carbon footprint. Hope this helps!
