If you're neutral toned, it'll come up as whichever is more prominent. For me I'm also neutral so foundations that have my shade in both warm and cool, it comes up as cool toned. But if there's no cool toned than warm toned comes up

It is very accurate, but sometimes can read wrong if the pictures aren't clear. I always have them do it twice to make sure the same results come up. But it's only been wrong once.
But like I said, if you're beautiful than whatever's more prominent will come up. But if you like cool toned better on you compared to warm go with what you like best.

Make sure to get a sample of what they match you to, because it can look a lot different in natural lighting!

I'm not 100 on it, it said that the only foundation that matches me was one by some brand I forgot whitch one but it was a high end prestige brands like guerlain i cant remember the name of the brand, but the naked skin foundation is good to me something that the color iq never mentioned so idk about that iq thing

It depends on the person doing the test. When I have good people doing it it's accurate and helpful, when the wrong person is doing it the results can be not so great.

Alyx is right when it comes to the pictures if they aren't clear or if the camera pics up on any redness or a freckle it will alter the image. I alway try to tell clients that it's the closest depiction of your skin color when done properly. We try not to say it's 100% because when it comes to our skin tone there can be room for error. I'd say about 4 out of 5 times the IQ reads the color properly. One day a client was matched to the cover fx foundation and it was a bit dark but based off of her undertone I was able to move up 2 shades and it was perfect! The system allows for us to move around the IQ number as well during a consultation. Hope that helps!

Mine wasn't very accurate- it matched me to a BB creme (the Boscia one) that was like 3 shades too dark.

I did it...it matched me to a lot of Clinique stuff...I had a great MUA that found my shade in touché éclat and the Smashbox foundation.

@Molly S. That Boscia BB cream is a universal shade but unfortunately if you're very fair it can come up on the darker side :/
