I have medium olive skin and need to good shade of red lipstick or lip gloss. my lips have very pink under tones. doors any one any suggestions?

I am with Anummm here. I describe my skin tone as medium olive and ruby woo is just the prefect red for me. I have not yet tried Russian red though!

I'm in love with MAC viva glam 1 and MAC viva glam riri..
if you are looking for somethin less expensive also love Revlon reds. esp cherries in the snow which has a slight fuchsia hue. I love..they have several reds. cremes and shimmers.

I like the pick, but I'm thinking I would like something deeper...maybe more blue based? I'm not sure...every red I try turns too orang or pink...maybe I need a brown liner under?

Viva glam1 has Brown in it.
I don't like Brown lipstick it I ended up really loving it it doesn't look brown on me..just red. but since I'm brow.skin its not so bright.

I use browniner with it. just to line my lips and fill the middle with viva glam 1.

My go to liner is by nyx. dark brown (its actually an eyebrow pencil.).. off top I think a lighter brown will work for you.. like just Brown or chestnut..
you can buy a Mac liner if you like. personally liners are something I don't spend a lot of unless I find the color to b unique. of course some liners are cheap and not worth using but nyx, jordsna, nk are some you Like that are only a few bucks. :)

Revlon makes one called wine with everything.
it comes in creme and pearl finish. I don't have it but its a favorite of many. I plan to grab one day..

I usually add a basic shadow either bronze or a black to open up my eyes a bit n loads of mascara. but that's just on me..

Thank you so much for all of the advice...I'm still on the fence...I think it will be perfect though for what I need it for. I have a masquerade party and I'm wearing a fabulous black mask with just a splash of red on the side with big feathers on the side...I thought the red would make it pop...
