Head and shoulders is good but if you have stubborn dandruff use tgel from neutrogena its very good! a good tip when using head and shoulders is to keep the shampoo in your hair for 20-30 mins this will help with the itch and also help clear up the dandruff! hope that helped.

Use shampoo that contains tea tree oil paul mitchell makes a good one, if you can't find any buy tea tree oil extract and dab it on areas of your scalp or mix a few drops into your hand with your shampoo, makes sure to scrub good and leave the shampoo on for a few minutes it will feel like a tingling cold sensation, it works like wonders for dry scalp and dandruff

Another tip is while your hair is still dry, brush your hair through abd then bend down and flip your hair over and brush from the bottom. This will loosen any dandruff and help to wash it out.

I can give you a remedy, but you should see a dermatologist. Dandruf is not dry skin... its actually an over production of yeast. Some people are just prone to it. More probiotics in your diet. Someone mentioned using yogert. Plain active culture yogert with a few drops of tea tree oil or, if you can find it, neem oil will help kill yeast, and balance healthy microbs on your scalp if used as a mask. Thats the natural route.
Another way to kill yeast is with monistate, or lotramine. They are ointments.. and would be needed for several days til yeast is dead.
Then there is antimicrobials. I like hibiclens. Its a presurgical wash... but it kills yeast. Cause I have autoimmune issues, I also have issues with candidis over production. When this happens, I use the was on those areas. I wouldnt pull it through hair. Just at scalp... leave for a few minutes, then rinse. Don't scrub it either. Condition well.
But talk to a doctor first. I know thus stuff kill microbs that cause yeast, that cause dandruf
But, to pervent... diet... youve got an imbalance of healthy bacteria... tge dandruf is a symptom of a bigger issue

A friend who does hair told me that head amd shoulders has some type of rat poison in it. so I apply apple cider vinegar in the shower after I shampoo but BEFORE I condition. I let it sit on my scalp for about 3 minutes then rinse then condition. I do it twice a month and it keeps my hair dandruff free. the head and shoulders used to take a while to work, too.
