Ok so I have crazy oily skin and I use the covergirl 3in1 with the rimmel stay matte primer and it just doesn't work my skin is still oily and my foundation looks sooo patchy it's crazy!! I heard that the revlon colorstay for oily combo skin is really good. So is it??

I absolutely LOVE Revlon Colorstay, its my holy grail drugstore foundation!! I have combo oily skin and this stuff keeps my matte literally all day long from days that I wear makeup from 5:30 in the morning til 10:00 at night. It has amazing coverage and doesn't budge all day long. I love this stuff! I also love the whipped version but both are absolutely incredible.:)

I used revlon colorstay before and I have oily skin, it was too thick and unnatural looking for me. It also broke me out.

The revlon colorstay is Ok! It really really helps control oil but I agree it's super thick & looks like your wearing makeup... I would recommend the Loreal true match if you have super oily skin though! Oil peeks through your makeup super fast with this foundation although the finish of this one is amazing & flawless.

I heard that the reason why it is so thick is because it is for people who need more coverage. But I honestly think it is an OK foundation but it isn't the best. I honestly like the thickness because I need a lot of coverage for my skin and it does the job. But would I buy it again, no but is it that bad? Not really.

Personally it's the best for me. And I have incredibly oily skin. Like within an hour or two it would look like paste.
So this worked best for me, I apply with a sponge. And I set it with makeup forever hd setting powder.
I still get oily but it's not as quick.

I agree there are ups and downs about it, like it doesn't feel too natural (although I don't notice unless I touch my face), its pretty hard to get off at night when I take my makeup off, but the only thing I care about really is the coverage and color. They have so many and in so pale, its the ONLY foundation I've ever had that looked completely natural as a color for me, yet with a flawless finish. :D it covers all my blemishes no matter how bad (since my skin is the palest tone they have redness shows up ALOT), I also have a scar on my cheek it covers :) sometimes I use it as a primer for my eyelids too because it holds powder product so well which I also love& and it works great as a concealer :) it really depends on what you like though. It also never oxidizes, which I find most natural looking foundations do, but its ultimately a decision of what you like for your foundation :) I'd say if you don't like heavy everyday wear, make it a nighttime going out/party kind of foundation since it gives such a flawless finish and stays on like crazy! :D I personally love it.

Oily skin as well
I have recently repurchased it because I loved it the first time, and I had the colorstay for combination skin/oily skin
however, I accidentally bought the one for normal/dry skin this time. tone matches, and the formula isnt that different. In fact I thing the one for dry/normal skin is thicker. still just as good as the colorstay for oily/combo skin.
great product, definitely reccomend it.

I actually love it! I have really oily skin and I remember as a teenager I tried it and hated It because I thought it was too thick but I came back to it after trying many foundations that always seemed to melt off my face and the Revlon one stays put! if you apply it with a heavy hand of course it will cake up but I love it my niece does too because it covers her acne and controls oil.
