Some lipsticks don't appear as bright on me as I see on other people.. Is there something I can do to make darks/brights pop more on my lips? Please share your wisdom.

Have you tried putting foundation on your lips before the lipstick? That usually works for me💋

I think lip liner can work.

@gypsy I haven't tried the foundation thing , maybe that will help. I'll try it out.

@ CPT-Lili & Ciera I already use lip liner & it doesn't really help :/ I think my lips are too pinkish naturally so my lipstick colors don't wear as bright

Hmmm. Look up some tricks on Pinterest , Youtube , or Beautylish in the other part of BL?

You could pick up a lip primer and see how it works for you, but honestly I don't really know, I'm just guessing :(

Apply light coat, blot, apply second coat, blot, then use lip brush to work edges.

Neutralize your natural lip color with a light layer of foundation and apply, blot and apply again 😊

I think sigma do a product that conceals the lips therefore giving the lipstick the true bright colour when applied. Lose the halo? Think that's the name.

It depends on how really BRIGHT you want it, but giving your lips a coat of white eyeliner will make any lipstick look more bright. But if you whiten out your lips to much it could turn the color into a pastel. So play around with it.

I usually line my lips and apply some clear lip gloss or a lip gloss with a similar shade.

Thanks so much girls, I'm going to try the foundation thing first & then I'll look into a lip primer if that doesn't help. I appreciate all the suggestions

Put a concealer that is close to your skin color over your lips before you apply your lip liner and then lipstick. Afterwards, peel a tissue in half and lay it over your mouth and dust powder over the tissue. That helps absorb the oil from the concealer to help make your lipstick last longer because it isn't slipping and sliding under your color.
