Awh man :( ok thanks I really don't want the bone in. I thought it was healed cause it stopped peeling and skin formed around it.

Just make sure you use the homemade non-iodized salt solution! Twice a day! For 15 minutes. It's a pain in the ass to keep in your nose for 15 but that's what healed my nose!

Really ok cause they didn't tell me how to take care of it properly so I've been using dial soap.

Thank you. well they didn't really tell me anything I don't know what gauge it is, how to properly clean it , or how long to leave it in...

It takes around 6-9 months to heal completely, and you should wait at least 2months before changing the jewelry :) to clean it, avoid products with alcohol, just use salt and warm water once a week until you don't have any dead skin or things like that :)

Jaclyn: yes, I'll definitely call them.I was thinking that I might get the wrong gauge. she also pierced me twice and didn't let me know.

Laura ok thank you because I want to change it before I start college. so you think the middle of August will be fine? regular salt correct?

You should get the H2ocean piercing aftercare spray! I work at a tattoo/piercing shop and that's what we highly recommend. It's sooooo strange that they hardly told you anything about it like aftercare, and you said didn't even tell you she pierced you twice without even telling you? I honestly would not go back to them or anything.

As Jennifer said, sea salt spray is great, but regular salt works too :) I agree With her also on the fact That it's not a good shop, so.. I think you could change it in august but if it's still red or if it hurts even a little bit when you'll try to take it out, don't touch it and wait a little bit more.

Continue to clean it with unscented non moisturizing dial soap unless that becomes too drying for you. If it's too drying, use warm salt water. you should be cleaning it for at least 6 weeks after you get it done. When it no longer hurts, feels/looks swollen or red, and you haven't fussed with it too much, it could be healed. I would definitely wait the 6 weeks to 2 months to change it to a hoop.

Jennifer: okay I'll get some thank you. Yeah I know it's really strange she lied to me and said she had hoops and she didn't then she didn't even tell me I got pierced twice I only noticed when I got to my car.

Che: thank you , it's really drying for me. Thank you so much for the advice.

I honestly don't think it's a "bone" it looks like a lip ring type of style. I guess that's what I get for going somewhere cheap.

They told me I could change it at 6 weeks. They usually pierce it at 18g or 20g. The most common nose jewelry size is 22g though. For sea salt scrub, 1/4 teaspoon not iodized salt to a cup of warm water. They should have used an L shaped stud or a bone. If there is a plate on the inside, and the ball comes off, they pierced it with the wrong jewelry and you should probably take it out and complain, the wrong jewelry can make it heal improperly.

I'm pretty sure they usually pierce it at 16 or 18gauge to begin with, the reason they won't put a ring in immediately is because it causes the piercing to heal in a position where only a ring can be worn and you'll have a tough time if you ever wanted to wear a stud getting one in. Sure, the piercer will tell you that it's fine to change your piercings anywhere from 4-8 weeks after you've had it done, I don't recommend changing it for at Least 6 months. I've had my nose ring in for like 4 years and even now I don't take it out, they close quickly and if you don't have a high pain tolerance you'll pass out trying to shove the stud back in that you've taken out. Also, rock salt will be your best friend. Dilute it in boiling water and wait until it's dissolved and warm enough that you can handle it, clean it twice a day doing this and it should heal nicely. Be careful not to get it stuck on towels and stuff, that hurts lol :)

Kirsten: my hole is really huge so I'm confused on what gauge it could be. mine has a plate at the end. I did the salt water an hour ago and it burned so bad.

Shaye: thank you so much for explaining everything to me you were so much help. I got it snatched to my towel last night screamed. lol.
